So we woke up at about 7:30ish so I could take a shower and mom could do my hair! After that we were on the road headed to Laura’s cottage where we would go swimming and chill until we had to go to camp. When we got there we got our bathing suits on and went SWIMMING!! We were swimming for at least an hour and we were just having fun. Around 2:30 we started getting ready to go because we were gonna stop for ice cream. (The camp is like 45 mins from the cottage). When we got there I went to my cabin and was greeted by my camp counselor Tango. She was really nice and I also got to share a bunk with Grace! Also I got to be top bunk for the first time ever! Then mom and dad left and we went to the opening show, it was really cool and I liked it a lot. Then we had our swim test and I passed! Then we had our girls talk in the cabin and went to bed! So I guess you want to hear about my skills, ok! So period 1 I had canoeing and kayaking and I had that with Grace. It was really fun because they just let us go out really far in the water and they taught me how to canoe better. Period 2&3 I had cake decorating and I had that with Gabby. I had lots of fun because we got to make the cake and the buttercream! They taught me how to make fondant and how to make a rose out of fondant, also they let us leave early sometimes! Period 4 I had beach volleyball, which was really good because they taught me how to play better. They taught me a new game called “Newcome” and it was really fun. I also met some friends named Lily and Mezedes. Period 5 I had Kraken. Kraken is suuuper fun because it’s a WATERSLIDE. I really love racing and trying to be first even though I’m not very good at that!
Period 6 I had trampoline. My favourite activity was trampoline because we got a lot of turns. I had 3 friends with me and I learned a lot of new things! 3 of my favourite things were 1. Animals races because you get to be an animal and slide across the tarp as different animals, it’s really slippery so it’s more fun.
2. 4 corners. I like this because it’s just a giant game of four corners and four corners is a really fun game!
3. Livewire which was a game we played on the last day where one cabin was one wire the other is the other wire and you had to do certain challenges to win the game. On the last day everyone was so sad to leave. I was very sad especially since I didn’t want to leave all my new friends but I know I’m gonna keep in touch with them so I wasn’t that sad! Welp that’s all hope you enjoyed BYEEE

I woke up on Saturday around 8:30 realizing that I was going to camp today. We packed up and left around nine and we went to Laura’s cottage for lunch then stopped in Port Stanfield for ice cream. We arrived at camp around 3:30 and got let in early. I sprinted right to my cabin so I could get a good bunk. I found my parents after and we had dinner. After dinner I went back to my cabin to meet the rest of my cabin. We went to opening show and after that we did our swim test. Since our swim test was done we went to Convo Café. My first event of the morning was radio broadcasting. Radio broadcasting was an event that you talked on the radio, I had fun. Next I had trampoline, we really just jumped because our instructor didn’t really teach us anything. So we just had fun on the trampoline. I got to do a lot of flips and other cool tricks. Third, I had swim beach, Swim beach was an event where you played on a big inflatable water park. I went on it four days out of the six. I had a lot of fun. Fourth, I had soccer, where we played full field soccer games. Fifth, I had kraken. It’s a big waterslide where you race other people to try and win. And last but not least I had tennis. I didn’t think I was good at tennis but turns out I’m pretty good. Probably my favourite thing at camp was either four corners or kamati. Four corners is a game where there are four teams and there’s a big square separated into four pieces. The goal was to try and get the other teams beanbags into your bucket and whoever had the most won. Kamati was a game almost like football but without the football. You have to cross to the other teams side while saying kamati without taking a breath. You had to keep saying that as you were in their half. You would tag someone and try to get back to your own side before you breathe or you get tackled and stop saying to Kamati. I met a couple new friends there. Three people from Mexico, one from France and many more from Canada. That was my last year at camp and it was probably the best one I ever had.
