Day 3 - St. Matthieu de Rioux, Quebec Baie St Laurent KOA

St. Matthieu de Rioux, Quebec
Baie St Laurent KOA

JR
This morning I woke up around 7 and had breakfast before we traveled on to Québec for our next stop. We left at about 8:45 and then stopped for lunch at a rest stop in Québec. We had peanut butter and Nutella wraps and salt and vinegar chips then we left the rest stop and we had to get gas ⛽️. Dad said I could do the gas, so I filled up the tank to the top and then we arrived at the campground ⛺️ around 3:30 and unpacked everything but the bug net 🐜 Because were only staying one night. We had Dorito tacos 🌮 before we went to pool for a swim 🏊‍♂️ now we are sitting at our campsite listening to music 🎶
Aurevoir, A demain

AR
Welcome to the third day of our East Coast Adventure! So our day started off as any other, me waking up and being very drowsy still. I got out of bed and got some clothes on still yawning. I grabbed some Rice Krispies and milk with a sprinkle of sugar in a bowl and there was breakfast! We set off on our 7hours drive around 9:00am and got driving. Me and Jack started the drive off with a little High School Musical 3, but eventually we both fell asleep and never finished it Whoops!! We woke up and decided to just listen some music and enjoy the scenery, but there wasn’t much scenery because we were under Montreal!!
Finally after a few hours we stopped for some lunch, more Nutella and Peanut Butter Wraps to fill you up! We got on driving again for more hours watching 2 more movies. After about 2hours we decided we need groceries (which we did) so we stopped at Walmart. Me and Jack got to chose two things each, I chose Sun Chips and Vanilla Wafers. After Walmart we drove, again.
Finally we arrived at the campsite and found out it was actually a resort/campsite, there was Mini Putt, A Pool, and a giant Bubble that you can bounce on! Awesome!! So we got everything set up and headed down to the pool, but of course it was closed for “Supper” so we just played on the bubble! For dinner we had Dorito Tacos, well I just had meat and Doritos! At about 6:30pm we went back down to the pool again and guess what, it was... Freezing! But we made the most of it then just played on the bubble again. Finally we ended it all for the night and just read books and sat outside. Now I say Aurvoir and goodnight to all as I watch Jack dance to “One Dance By: Drake!” Aurvoir!!

Me

Today the real adventure began ... however, it was a driving day so nothing super exciting to report. We drove through Québec and the roads through Montreal were as bad as we remembered them - as bad as the roads in Michigan! Mostly highway driving but as we got further east we caught glimpses of the St. Lawrence and headed through some hilly territory. Our campsite is in St. Matthieu de Rioux, Quebec at the Baie St Laurent KOA. It is crazy hilly and super windy!! After towing the trailer up a huge hill we finally ended up on the top of a very windy hill with views of a local ski resort (similar in size to Blue Mountain). Our site is about the size of a postage stamp and the campfire pit is directly beside my car ... no campfire tonight!! The wind is blowing so hard I worry that when we get out of the trailer that it might blow away without our weight in it. However, there are no mozzies so that’s a plus!! The kids are having fun on the bouncy bubble, swimming and playing at the park. Also, had their favourite Dorito Tacos for dinner so everyone is happy. Finishing our evening sitting and listening to music while the kids play catch. Aurvoir! A demain!
