Day 4 - Blue Lake PP

Another driving day today. We are very close to Kenora today. Had the best sleep so far last night, I guess eight degrees agrees with me. Woke up had breakfast and were on our way again. We stopped in Thunder Bay to check out the Terry Fox memorial. It was very moving and I'm glad we stopped with the kids, as on our last trek (14 years ago) we missed it and I regretted not stopping. We stopped for lunch at beautiful Kakabeka Falls and had a picnic beside the falls. The scenery again today did not disappoint with beautiful rock cliffs and breathtaking lakes. Some of the lakes were covered in mist and would've made for some lovely pictures. It started to rain in Dryden and hasn't stopped. For some reason we thought it would be a great idea to set up the awning in the rain for the first time ... Bad decision and very evident that we are still newbies at this. I also remembered all my rain gear but packed it inside the trailer which I can't get to in the rain when setting up. I guess we're still providing entertainment to the pros but I'm hopeful that we'll be pros by the time we get home again. We did solve the trailer not going up and down problem with Shaun's assistance ... Thank goodness!! Anyway, time for dinner (taco night) and then a little Skipbo before bed. Night all!!
Kakabeka Falls
This is why I take the pictures ...
