Day 9 - Hoodoo's, Banff Caves & Basin

Much more relaxed day today. We slept in until 7:30, had a leisurely breakfast and took our time. We hiked from our campsite to the hoodoo's, which are cool land formations left behind by the glaciers. There was a bear siting near by so we walked back a little quicker!! We had lunch at our campsite with a little furry friend ... We call them prairie dogs - he was quite cute and completely unafraid of us ... Sadly, we weren't sharing! After lunch Daddy & J were kicking the ball around when an elk passed through the camp site!! They went after it and got a great picture!! We headed to the Banff Cave & Basin and I got a great picture of a young deer eating at the side of the road. At the basin we learned about the hot springs and the endangered snails that live there. They were very small ... Like little grey kernels of popcorn. We went into an underground cave and saw the hot spring. We returned for dinner - tacos again! Then went into Banff for ice cream at Cows. I had the Moo York Cheesecake - it was delicious!! While we were getting our ice cream the sky's opened and it poured rain and even some hail came down. We returned to the trailer and played Skipbo - A won again!! Kids went to shower with Daddy and I got some peace and quiet to read my book. Tomorrow we're off to Revelstoke to experience the hot springs first hand!! Night all ... 😴
